Keto Cheese Wraps

You guys!! We can’t even express how happy we are to have gotten the responses on our posts Pizza Chips and Parmesan Jalapeno Chips.  We very much appreciate the interest.  We won’t always be sticking to Keto recipes, mostly because Jay keeps falling off the boat.

As promised on our Facebook page the other day we wanted to bring to you an easy alternative to tortilla wraps.  This makes a super easy lunch or an awesome snack between meals.

This is seriously so easy!  All you will need is parchment paper and two slices of cheese, oh and a microwave.  For this version I chose swiss.  It’s what we have on hand. If you try a different varietal of cheese please let us know. We would love to hear how yours turned out.

Ingredients:

  • Sliced Cheese – 2 Slices

To start you will need your cheese and parchment paper.  Your parchment paper should be large enough to fold in half to cover the cheese. You will also want to take one slice of cheese and fold it into 4 strips. Place the strips on the edges of the intact slice of cheese.

Fold parchment paper in half and place in microwave for 20 seconds.  You can experiment with cook times.  Remove from microwave.

Flatten/Roll cheese into a thin sheet. Here you can get a bit creative.  When I first started making these I did not own a rolling pin, who knew I’d have to get one in my 30’s? Have I mentioned I am not a great baker? Anyways, I used a wine bottle to roll these wraps out.

You can use your hands or a traditional rolling pin to form the wraps. I have found that because the cheese is so melty that I actually end up using my rolling pin by placing it in different sections of the cheese before I can actually start rolling it the wrap.

I’ve tried to no eval to make these suckers look like a perfectly round tortilla like the Folio Cheese Wraps.  But, what they lack in appeal they make up for in taste and functionality.

Now the fun part!  Fill these up with whatever meat, veggie, and condiment you desire.  I love to make Italian wraps with these.  Pepperoni, Salami, Olives, Mayo, Onions, Peppercinis, wrap and enjoy!  I have also stuffed these suckers with tuna salad and they are amazeballs!  Let us know how you stuff yours!

Directions:

  1. Place one slice of cheese on parchment paper.
  2. Fold the second slice of cheese into 4 strips.
  3. Place strips on the top, bottom, right, and left sides of the cheese on the parchment paper.
  4. Fold parchment paper in half.
  5. Place in the microwave for 20 seconds.
  6. Remove from the microwave and either roll or press the melted cheese into the desired shape/thickness you would like your wrapper.
  7. Pat down wrapper with a paper towel to remove excess grease.
  8. Layer desired ingredients.
  9. Wrap.
  10. Enjoy!
