Is everyone ready for the Super Bowl? I for one, don’t really care about the game, but I sure do care about the food. For years I had either hosted or attended Super Bowl parties. This year, we have no party to attend but we were talking to some friends who recently started Keto. That reminded me that we have made these amazing Parmesan Jalapeno Chips and we wanted to share them.
For anyone looking for a low-carb snack or an easy appetizer to bring to a party, this will certainly do that trick. With only two ingredients you really can’t go wrong.
- Parmesan Cheese – 12oz
- Jalapenos – 3 large
We keep parmesan cheese on hand at all times. It isn’t always cheap, but I can tell you that making these little suckers is way cheaper than buying Cello Whisps which you can buy HERE. They aren’t exactly the same thing but in my opinion better.
These are super simple. Preheat your oven to 350°. Line parchment paper over a cookie sheet. Add approximately 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese in a stack 1 inch apart. The more cheese you add the longer it will take these suckers to crisp up. Next, place a slice of jalapeno in the middle of the stack. If the jalapeno is a little on the smaller side I will place two or three, equivalent to the larger slices. Toss this batch right into the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Make sure the edges are nice and crispy. Let the chips cool on the mat for a couple of minutes before transferring to a paper towel to soak up some of the grease. Ready to serve!
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Place approximately a tablespoon of parmesan 1 inch apart.
- Place 1 sliced jalapeno on top.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove and cool.
- Transfer to a paper towel to soak up the grease.
